Mercato Partners Acquisition Corporation (MPRA) Shareholders Approve Nuvini Deal

Mercato Partners Acquisition Corporation (NASDAQ:MPRA) announced this afternoon via 8-K that its shareholders have approved its combination with Nuvini at a special meeting held earlier today.

With 79.74% of the voting power of the Common Stock participating in the vote, the combination was overwhelmingly approved.  7,975,698 shares were recorded voting for the transaction, while only 38,008 voted against.

Redemption figures have not yet been released, but Mercato expects the Business Combination to close on September 29, 2023.

The New Nuvini Ordinary Shares and New Nuvini Warrants are expected to commence trading on The Nasdaq Capital Market under the ticker symbols “NVNI” and “NVNIW,” respectively, when the market opens on October 2, 2023.

Mercato Partners initially announced its $312 million combination with Nuvini in February of this year. Sao-Paulo-based Nuvini is a leading acquirer of business software firms in Brazil.
